Food is one of the fastest growing categories on YouTube.
So it was a natural for for me to attend VidCon 2015, a convention of 20,000 passionate video creators and fans, in Anaheim, California this past weekend. Gaming, music, fashion & beauty are still the major draw, but this year foodies had their own session! I got to meet YouTube superstar Rosanna Pansino, creator of Nerdy Nummies with over 4 million subscribers to her channel! I also me Aussie Elise Strachan, the queen of cupcakes who runs a YouTube channel called MyCupCakeAddiction that has over 1.8 million subscribers. These ladies are leading the way for how-to-and-entertainment cooking channels.
I met so many other fun and nutty YouTubers, all who are enthusiastic and very creative! The one thing everyone has in common is a love to create. I also discovered one other area that YouTubers have in common - a love of Italian food!
So I decided to interview YouTubers for ideas for my next recipe and video. Watch the video to find out what was the winner!
