My name is Cara Mia Cipolla Kretz.  You can call me Cara. Welcome to my cooking blog on how to make a great Italian meal at home!

    Cara

I was raised in the Midwest in a large Italian family. In this blog I will share with you some cooking tips and secrets from three generations of Italian women. I will also point out some shortcuts that make it easy in this modern world.  When you are ready to begin there are four quality ingredients you should always have in stock: a good extra-virgin olive oil, fresh garlic, crushed red pepper flakes, and a decent bottle of red wine for the cook.

I hope you find at least one recipe that you like and will try. Check back often. I am adding new recipes all the time! Please comment and send me your feedback and pictures. Welcome to Homemade Italian Cooking with Cara!
