Moor's Head in storeMoor's Head vases are unique to Sicily. They are used as table centerpieces. I bought this ceramic Moor’s Head vase at a store in Taormina. My family thinks it is hideous. But I love it. For me, it captures the essence of Sicily.  The fable around these interesting vases involves a jilted lover's revenge.

I am so sorry I don't recall the store; it was long ago. There are many ceramic stores in Taormina that carry Moor's Heads. I just love mine!
